We're open again: what the next few months will look like at Pasa Tapas

We're open again

A few weeks ago we told you, with heavy hearts, that a fire had forced us to close temporarily. Today we come back with much better news: Pasa Tapas has reopened its doors.

The kitchen is up and running again, the team is back in the dining room, and La Barceloneta smells like it always has. Thank you —really, thank you— for the messages, the calls, the hugs on the street and the patience. If we've learned one thing these past weeks, it's that this project isn't just us: it's all of you who decide every day to come in for a meal, a celebration, or a table with your loved ones.

What will happen over the next 3 months

We want to be completely transparent about how the restaurant will run during this renovation phase. No surprises —especially not with you.

1. Renovations to the upper part of the venue (≈ 3 months)

The area most affected by the fire is the upper part of the venue, and that's where we'll focus the work. We estimate the renovations will take about 3 months. This isn't a half-repair: we're taking the chance to leave it better than it was. When we reopen that area at 100 %, we want you to notice.

2. The leisure room, temporarily paused

During those 3 months, the leisure room will not be available in its usual format. We'll temporarily use it to host events and group bookings, so no one misses out on their company lunch, family celebration or dinner with friends while the work lasts.

It's a transitional solution, but when it reopens as a leisure room, it'll do so with a fresh new look and plenty to surprise you.

3. Groups of up to 74 people in our private rooms

We know one of Pasa Tapas' great assets has always been our private rooms with capacity for up to 300 people. That's what's allowed us to host weddings, company lunches, anniversaries and large celebrations for more than 28 years.

During these 3 months of renovations, we'll be able to handle groups of up to 74 people. That's still more than enough for most celebrations, and we'll put the same care into it as always: same service, same kitchen, same team.

If you had a bigger celebration in mind, get in touch and let's find the best date together —maybe you'd rather wait until the renovation is finished, or maybe we can find a way to make it all work anyway. Let's talk and figure it out.

We're still open. Still with you.

We want to make one thing very clear: Pasa Tapas is still open. The menu is still on, the grill is still lit, and the team is still on the other side of the bar waiting for you.

We're here for lunches, dinners, daily menus, midday tapas, late-afternoon beers and dinners that stretch into the night —just as it's always been in La Barceloneta.

What's next

When the next 3 months are over, we'll be back with:

  • A renovated leisure room, even more spectacular.
  • Private rooms that will be much more than you expected —and that's saying a lot, coming from a place that already welcomed up to 300 people.
  • The same team, the same kitchen, the same neighbourhood. Those things don't change.

How to book right now

If you want to come for lunch or dinner, you can book a table here.

If you're thinking about a group booking or event during these renovation months, email us directly at info@restaurantgrup.com and we'll walk you through the available options, dates, and how we can organise it so it goes perfectly.

And if you just want to stop by and say hi, please do. It'll make our day.

Thank you for being there. Thank you for waiting. Thank you for still choosing us even in the strange moments. See you very soon in La Barceloneta.
